In 1960 the Ibarra family introduced Mexican food to the Overland Park, KS area. Customers would come in and ask, "What is an enchilada?" It wasn't long before this delicious cuisine became known and everyone was stopping by to find out first hand. The restaurant, now known as "Torreon", continues the family tradition with one of the daughters taking over the establishment twenty-five years ago. Her son is following close behind.
The Torreon is not only well known for its great food but also for its lime-green margaritas. It boasts of being the "Home of the Original Fishbowl Margarita"; a sixteen ounce margarita like none-other! They developed their own signature margarita mix which is sold through the restaurant and through our Web site.

The customers, old and new, enjoy the friendly and comfortable atmosphere of this fine establishment where many are known by first name.
The restaurant is located at 9129 Elmhurst in Overland Park (close to Antioch and Santa Fe). It is opened Monday through Saturday from 5:00 - 10:00 pm and for lunch on Fridays from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. Outdoor dining is available on our patio which is open from mid-April through October.
